Tinubu Sends His Lagos Men To Warn Osinbajo

When in 20214 the likes of Bukola Saraki, Rotimi Amaechi and Nasir el-Rufai forced APC leader Bola Tinubu to forget the idea of becoming President Buhari's running mate for a Muslim-Muslim ticket, a new plot and strategy was deployed unknow to a lot of people. 

Tinubu nominated Yemi Osinbajo, one of his former commissioners when he was Governor of Lagos state, to be Buhari's vice as a known Christian, Lawyer and Pastor.

However, Tinubu never told Osinbajo that he was not allowed to dream of becoming the President of Nigeria if the push for a Buhari presidency becomes a successful project.

Here they are in 2022, ahead of the 2023 elections and Tinubu has intimated President Buhari of his plans to take over power, all things being equal. But Tinubu, hibernating in London at the time of this post, is said to have sent a strong message of warning to Osinbajo to back off.

This was after Tinubu was hinted that some top men in the Presidency are teaming up with Governor Nasir el-Rufai to impress it upon Buhari to ignore Tinubu and work for the emergence of a more capable Osinbajo as President. 

Sources say Tinubu boys have also started making subtle threats against Osinbajo, as they fear he may be the one to deny Tinubu a presidency he's seriously positioning for.
