S*xual Allegation Against Spacey? Netflix Announces End To 'House Of Cards'

So the series has come to an end? Netflix has pulled the plug on its Emmy-nominated political drama - 'House of Cards' - at the conclusion of its upcoming sixth season after its lead actor Kevin Spacey was accused of s*xual harassment by fellow actor Anthony Rapp, when he was younger.

Anthony Rapp in an interview with Buzzfeed News on Sunday, said he was 14-years-old when actor Kevin Spacey made a s*xual advance toward him. He said the advances happened after a party at Spacey’s apartment in 1986.

According to him, Spacey picked him up and put him on the bed, climbing on top of him. He said it was an attempt for Spacey to “seduce” him. “I was aware that he was trying to get with me s*xually.”

“My stomach churns,” said Rapp. “I still to this day can’t wrap my head around so many aspects of it. It’s just deeply confusing to me.”
Reacting to the allegation, Spacey apologised to Anthony Rapp on Twitter, saying that it would have been over 30 years ago but he doesn't remember the alleged encounter.

But a Netflix spokesperson told Guardian Australia that the decision to end the show happened months earlier, and not in response to the allegations about Spacey surfacing.
