IT'S OVER! Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's Wife Gets Divorce

Oh dear!...where did love go, where did sincerity go, where did submission go? Bishop David Oyedepo said it months back that some ladies no longer respect their man and that is the major cause of divorce.

I'm not taking sides with Pastor Chris, because I do not know what happened between them behind closed doors, but a woman who is submissive to her husband as instructed by the word of God that she is preaching and already has grown up children for the man will not take this as her last resort.

Sadly, it's over! Pastor Anita is now officially divorced from Pastor Chris. See the statement...

By Attwaters Jameson Hill, lawyers for Anita Ebhodaghe (formerly Anita Oyakhilome):
“We have been requested by Anita Oyakhilome to confirm that on the 8th February 2016 a decree absolute was pronounced in the High Court of Justice Principal Registry of the Family Division dissolving her marriage to Christian Onehirokpeana Oyakhilome.
Anita Oyakhilome would like to confirm that she is no longer involved in or part of Christ Embassy AKA Believers LoveWorld INC.”
Signed: Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors
- I guess people no longer consider anything called "consequences" when they act these days. Sigh!

    1. While this is so sad, I can't help but call our attention to something important that they did that set the stage for this to happen. The oaths taken at marriage are very important. I once heard Pastor preach that they wrote their own oaths and it was "for better, for better" and not for worse. There was no oath to cover the bad times. But we all know in marriage things go bad some times, and more often than we might envisage. So now that things have gone bad and the woman has been made to believe all her life that things would only be great, what do you expect? While they did that in youthful, positive, faithful exuberance, one must know that the church of God that originally put " for better, for worse", wasn't ignorant of future challenges like this. And so made it clear by oath that couples must work on their marriage and not walk out when things go bad.

  3. That's really very saddening. God hates divorce! How will Pastor Chris ever be able to counsel couples in troubled marriages? He has just lost the moral justification.

  15. To have ended up as divorce a lot of water must have passed under the bridge, though is hard but is more wise to go apart than one killing each other if the marriage can no longer work.

  23. You guys should stop advising people to stay in a marriage that is not working. No one desire a divorce but its better to move on with your life than to be unhappy. Was it not recently a woman in Ibadan slaughter her husband? It all as a result of these kind of bullshit advice. She cant deal with it anymore, its better she call it a quit.

  24. Good for both of them, at least total freedom. But wait a minute, what happened to the portion of the bible they always tell us which is " what God has joined together, let no man seperate"

  25. pls divorce is not the solution, if you discovered that somethings are wrong in you marriage, go to GOD in prayer, because all this dispute maybe an arrangement from the kingdom of darkness, in other to pull the family down, and that is why you are there, two is better than one to help him spiritually so that he will not fall, GOD Will help our generation in Jesus name amen,

  26. Pastor Chris should resign his position as pastor of Christ embassy because if he remarries he will be committing fornication and no pastor should be involved in that .
