Former national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande has described the ongoing leadership crisis in the National Assembly as a rebellion financed by some persons among the elite and oil subsidy barons to frustrate President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption stance.
He has therefore urged Mr President and the APC governors to begin a damage control measure that would help in reconstructing “the party in its claim to bring about the promised change before the party’s shortcomings begin to aggravate the challenges of governance in their hands.”
According to Akande, with the whole conspiracy blown open, it is doubtful if the present party leadership can muster the required capacity to arrest the drift.

The barons have enough money to spend and they've succeeded in imposing Saraki at all cost. What next?
