AMAKA
Barrister Tega, you again!? What exactly is the matter with you? Now remove yourself — and your abomination money — from my chambers. Otherwise I will have the bailiff remove you.

ANITA (tearful)
Superintendent Adeleke, I know that you are a good Christian. So, I beg you in God’s name. My brother didn’t mean to shoot that woman. My family members sent me to tell you that we are sorry for what he did… Take this ten million — just find a way to change the case so that my brother can be released. Please, sir.
She places a leather bag on the table. Adeleke doesn’t look at it.
ADELEKE (quietly)
Sister Anita, I respect your pain. But as a Police Officer, I swore an oath — to God and to the Constitution of this country. So, my dear, I will not betray my oath.
ANITA (angrily)
So you’ll let him rot in jail?! They’ll kill him there… please nau!
ADELEKE
The thing is, for our society to maintain its sanity and balance, justice must run its course, no matter who the offender is.
