Should there be more female Gynecologist, so married women are not 'seen' by male doctors?
Some say male doctors are professionals and don't feel anything when they touch the body of ladies who go to them for examination. Others say they are humans and must feel something, they even sighted cases of doctors who abuse female patient, because they couldn't resist their body.
What do you think, should [married] women be attended to by male or female gynecologist?
I see nothing wrong in it.

ReplyDeleteIn term of health care delivery system, there is nothing bad if married women are attended to by male gyneacologist.if any male Dr behave abnormal during the course of treatment, its the right of the medical decipline board that will take normal measure.

ReplyDeletei say married women should be attended to by a female gynaecologist my reason is a story i read about some months ago of a doctor who was charged to court for sexually abusing different female patients of which a particular lady shared her experience with of which she couldnt hide it and told her husby about it and also another doctor in kogi state who also had done same with several women and was caught by a nurse working in the hospital although truely some of the male doctors are professional to the core but as rightly stated some use that opportunity to abuse there female patients because they are humans and are moved by what they see and knowing that a man is in there having a view of your property and could be flirting with her just doesnt seat well with most men to be honest..so i say a married woman should be attended to by a female specialist just to be on the safe side

ReplyDeleteA male gynecologist can attend to a female patients, it doesn't matter even some female patients prefer male doctors to attend to them. It's only in Islam that barred male doctors from attending to female patients. A male gynecologist can have feelings while attending to female patients, it's certain but as a professional you must stick and adhere with the rules .

ReplyDeleteHuman will always be human, male doctors are not angels neither are they prophet, seeing another women nudity might send wrong signal into their memory, the doctrine of Islam frown at it, it will be more better to have female gynecologist to attend to pregnant women or female patients.

ReplyDeleteDon't we also have bad female doctors, please let this be,this is a matter of life n death and during which who does not count but safety! After all we have female doctors that also can't hold theirselves, they also abuse their female patients and more also most female doctors don't have that patience with their follow female patient. Of a truth it does not matter at all like I said,what matters is d safety of d patient.
