Suspended Edo State Traditional Ruler reconciles with Woman he allegedly assaulted

The Onojie of Uromi, His Royal Highness, Anselm Aidenojie, has reconciled with Betty Okoebor, after his suspension following his alleged attack on her. The state government had on Thursday suspended the monarch for his alleged attack on Mrs. Okoebor and failure to respond to the query issued to him by the state government.

The government statement further threatened to depose the Onojie if after seven days he fails to tender apologies to the victim and the state government.

But ll is now settled. Mrs Betty Okoebor and family members in company of some notable Uromi sons and daughters were present at the reconciliation. More pics...

The woman said she can't demand apology from her traditional ruler, she did not send government.

  1. It's good they have reconcile but the woman was wrong to have said, she did not send government to ask for apology, if the assault turned otherwise, the monarch would be having a case against state.

  3. If he wasn't made a scapegoat, this reconciliation (staged or not)would not have taken place. Kudos to the State Governor for the disciplinary actions.
