The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on a nationwide strike to press home demands for the implementation of its 2009 agreement with Federal Government.
The ASUU Lagos Zone Coordinator, Prof. Olusoji Sowande, said this at a news conference in Lagos. He said that the union was planning to toe this part after several efforts to ensure that the government address the pending demands, proved abortive. It's all about money, but times are hard.

ReplyDeleteThese ASUU people should stop being selfish and careless about the education of Nigerian Students under their umbrella. It's frustrating to spend more years in school because of such decisions. They had better reconsider their stand.
ReplyDeleteThey should take it easy
ReplyDeleteWho strike epp?..
ReplyDeleteBoth parties (Government & ASUU) should resolve the issue amicably, we understand ASSU members have their bills to settle, at the same time government have a limited resources to address all the ASUU demands but something reasonable must be done from both ends, because it's a common knowledge that grass suffer where two elephants fight & the students are the grass of the two elephants in this context
