Speaking at the premises of Zenith Bank, Ado-Ekiti, where he had his personal account, the governor claimed that he had gotten winds of plans by the Presidency to freeze his account some days earlier.
An official of the Bank told Fayose that his account was frozen on the order of the EFCC.
The Governor said, he had earlier issued a counter-cheque to make withdrawal and was rejected by the bank located at Onigari, GRA in Ado Ekiti, describing the action as criminal and illegal.
Fayose said he enjoys immunity as a sitting governor and as such EFCC cannot take any action against him.
A source in Abuja who spoke to OluFamous.Com on the issue said huge amount, running into Billions of Naira have been diverted, particular the money released to Ekiti State by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan as soon as Fayose won the election and was sworn in two years ago.
The source said the movement of the money and other recent ones have been traced. Details coming...
