Rivers State Getting Bloody: Gunmen Kill 5 Police Officers

Reports have it that five policemen have been killed by unknown gunmen in Rivers state. The victims said to include a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Nasiru Halidu, who went on a special duty in Yobe State, were on their way back to Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, when they were reportedly attacked at about 3:0am on Monday in Okobe, Ahoada West LGA of Rivers State, along the East-West road.

Report of the reason for the gunmen attack on the police officers remains sketchy.
