56 years after independence, Nigerian leaders still can't deliver "ordinary" electricity, water, home-refined petroleum products, transportation - road, rail, water and air - infrastructure. Yet we are like the highest producer of crude oil in Africa without nothing tangible to show for it.
We are the giant of Africa by mere size. How will Donald Trump not rubbish us?
Here's a quote from Donald Trump, a front-line US presidential contender:
We are the giant of Africa by mere size. How will Donald Trump not rubbish us?
Here's a quote from Donald Trump, a front-line US presidential contender:
"Look at African countries like Nigeria or Kenya for instance, those people are stealing from their own government and go to invest the money in foreign countries.
From the government to the opposition, they only qualify to be used as a case study whenever bad examples are required.
How do you trust even those who have run away to hide here in the United States, hiding behind education? I hear they abuse me in their blogs but I don’t care because even the internet they are using is ours and we can decide to switch it off from this side.
These are people who import everything including matchsticks.
In my opinion, most of these African countries [like Nigeria] ought to be recolonized again for another 100 years because they know nothing about leadership and self-governance."#Lobatan

We deserve d insult.
ReplyDeleteSincerely Trump could be a racist but he serves truth the bitter way.

ReplyDeleteIf Trump wins I believe he will come up stringent immigration and Banking laws that would tie African leader both home and abroad. We need to build this nation otherwise we shall watch the nation go down the drain. Countries like Singapore, Japan, and. South Korea has nothing but human beings with creative minds and patriotism but there they are today supplying even the west technological products of theirs. How do U then say Nigeria is not failed project? How do U then stop agitators from seceding? We are just an entity united on the map with several interests and a few looting what is meant for all. A 56yrs old man who cannot provide for his family could be seen as a failure.
ReplyDeleteHe says nothing but but the truth. Even though they said "TRUTH IS BITTER"

ReplyDeleteI don't think he has any right to speak about us.The stain on their hands is enough evidence. Killing millions, dropping bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. that's the worst that have happened on earth. RUBBISH.
ReplyDeleteMost educated Africans are citizens of two publics in the same society. On the one hand, they belong to a civic public from which they gain materially but to which they give only grudgingly. On the other hand they belong to a primordial public from which they derive little or no material benefits but to which they are expected to give generously and do give materially. Their relationship to the primordial public is moral, while that to the civic public is amoral. "
ReplyDeleteOur post-colonial present has been fashioned by our colonial past. It is that colonial past that has defined for us the spheres of morality that have come to dominate our politics. The destructive results of African politics in the post-colonial era owe something to the amorality of the civic public
Naso. He said nothing but Fact! Those senseless, good for nothing, greedy leaders of ours has driven Nigerias economy to the state it is now. #Pissed!

Nigerian leaders are from Nigeria, and are infact typical Nigerians. So don't just blame the leaders, blame all Nigerians. And I bet many of you are leading in one capacity or another.
ReplyDeleteTrump is callous and ignorant with a sparkling topping of a racist. I don't think he has pointed out anything new in his statement that warrants all the publicity he's receiving. We Nigerians are well aware of the happenings of this great nation occupied by great and talented minds. We understand our struggle and in our own way do our best to maintain an upstanding image while tackling our challenges. We don't need a Trump to insult our pride. "Common sense" with Uncle Ben Bruce addresses and answers our current position, but I don't see any bloggers promoting this. Let us promote and reiterate solutions, not supporting rich, arrogant racists like Donald "despicable" Trump. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI just Pray God should help him, This is a bitter truth.

ReplyDeleteTalk is cheap, though there are some facts in his speech but they are the one who aid the looters by keeping those money they stole to invest & develop their own country.
ReplyDeleteI remember late Mamman Vatsa. We brought this insult on us so we should not blame Trump rather we should applaud him for telling us the truth.
