A reader sent me this pic since like on Monday... anytime I look at it I just feel for the cow. While taking pictures, he noticed the cow shedding tears after seeing the knifes they would use to kill it. #life
Cows do not cry. To cry is to shed tears especially in pain or distress (Oxford Dictionary). Humans cry in pain, or in disappointment, fear, grief over loss and also when someone or something has affected them in a deep and moving way.
Unfortunately people don't know the effect of allowing live animals to see their death coming. It triggers off a chemical process (rigor mortis) in the animal which eventually affects the quality of the meat.
Who want to die? not even an animal. But it is advisable to cover the face of the animal before slaughtering it, thay have feelings too. if the owner of the horse died, the horse would be seen crying & thereafter might run away from such environment if care is not taken
God is perfect, but I think we shouldn't been eating some Animals. This reminds me of one terrible experience last year while was traveling from Abuja to Benin, then I ran into where a trailer carrying a good number cows was involved in an accident with Luxurious-boy coming from Lagos. The accident ended claiming the lives of 32person and 27cows, and people surrounded the dead bodies while the injured and uninjured cow formed a circle round the dead cows and started crying continuously and I ended up not eating beaf for a very long time.
Olu, we live in a world where anything is possible. I had witness a situation where cow a that was about to be slaughtered, was shshedding tears, crying profusely. But, as God would have it, there was an elderly man amongst us, versed in traditional medicine. The man halted the killing, went closer to the cow, did some incantation, and lo and behold! It was a young lady, not more than 19 years of age. Olu! There was pandemonium, everywhere. For more than a month, i was not myself. Na dat day, i come believe say truly, # jars dey!

That's why the Chinese don't brandish their knives before an animal to be slaughtered. They believed (and it's true ) that you kill an animal twice when you let it see that with which it's life will be taken.
