How New Customs Boss, Hamid Ali, Is Making The Billions

When the president, Muhammadu Buhari, decided to ignore all the senior officers in Nigeria Customs and gave the prime job to a no-nonsense ex-Military officer, many thought he was just being tribalistic.

Now see the result:
In 2014, within a duration, Nigeria Customs generated over N162b under the former Comptroller-General and the service was said to have remitted less than half of that amount to government.

But in the seven months of Buhari's administration, Nigeria Customs is said to have generated N903billion and the new Comptroller-General, Hamid Ali, remitted all the N903billion. No story!

This goes to show that TRULY corruption is one of the MAJOR problems against Nigeria's development.

  11. Are these figures really confirmed as true? For example, as recently as last week, senior custom officials are still requesting bribes from passengers

You see I just hoe we are not being fooled by this figures, cuz our leaders are full of mischief, they can even spite their to do someone an injury. I just hope the money will not be hidden away and the budget stolen like what we have been seeing since PMB arrived.

  23. I heard it from Custom Officers and Smugglers: " We could have prepared Buhari him self as C.G of the custom than Hamed Ibrahim Ali"
Hamed Ibrahim Ali is a real uncorruptable person, If he seized your contraband container, believe me no Governor, Emir or any person will influence him to release it.
Therefore, we thanks Allah for the change in this time of world economy crash.
