When fight pass your power, just sleep. Echocho sleeping and snoring after intensive drilling by PDP Committee at Lafiya, Nassarawa State.
Jibrin Isah Echocho, one of the aspirants for the Governorship seat in the 2015 gubernatorial election in Kogi State under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has once again demonstrated why he is unfit to govern the state.
Echocho was caught sleeping and snoring aloud on Thursday August 27, 2015, during the screening of candidates of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) held at Lafia, Nasarawa state ahead of the primary election.
He was apparently sleeping after intensive drilling by the screening committee of the party.
This is a serious indication that the man is not fit for the job.He was asked how he expected to deliver the state to PDP since he could not even deliver his polling unit in the last elections. He was also asked about his role in the collapse of Afribank that led to his sack as executive director of the bank.He failed to give satisfactory answers to the questions.
The big question begging for answer is, how can a man who seek to be governor of a state be sleeping and snoring like this at a public function?
This incident followed another melodrama by the same candidate some weeks back when he arrived the PDP national secretariat in Abuja with some rented crowd to obtain nomination form only to be turned back by the party secretariat and ask to come back later in the day.
On that fateful day, the campaign team for Echocho was caught moving around the street of Lokoja in empty buses recruiting youths to accompany their candidate to Abuja but were only able to hire less than 100 paid supporters.
One wonders if Echocho is really a candidate to be taken seriously as there is no single party stalwart or political leader not even from his ward in his camp.
All efforts to reach his media assistant Phrank Shuaibu for comment failed as he was suspiciously absent as he avoided accompanying his boss to Lafia for such a critical exercise.He also refused to respond to calls that were put across to him on this matter. Political watchers in the state say even Phrank is trying to distance himself from Echocho now as he knows that his mission is dead on arrival.
